چکیده

In Bangladesh, the lightning during a thunderstorm has recently been officially declared as natural disaster, resulting in numerous fatalities each year, especially country's northeast. This study aims to look into relationships between and climatic variables, spatial distribution of deaths, people's perceptions disaster's consequences adaptation measures, influencing factors that make people victims Sunamganj District. Several statistical approaches, such descriptive statistics, correlation, Mann-Kendall Test, were used meet objectives by examining time series data events, household survey data. The imply strikes have positive statistically significant relationship with variables temperature, rainfall, humidity, air pressure. Moreover, may become more common future increase. perceived include disruption human life, injury, damage or burning environmental infrastructural elements, etc. Going outside and/or remaining are primary contributing tragic accident. Those who engaged income-generating activities monsoon, like agricultural operations Boro Rice farming fishing, most vulnerable this hazard. Therefore, several strategies, including house safety facilitating emergency shelter; assisting victim families for recovery rehabilitation; travelling covered vehicles thunderstorm; disseminating knowledge about proper movement thunderstorm, first aid information initial treatment through awareness building campaign should be implemented reduce number casualties.

Relation between demographic characteristics and adaptation with adherence to treatment in adolescents with epilepsy: based on Roy adaptation model

Introduction: As one of the chronic diseases, epilepsy can affect children's self-steam and life satisfaction by lowering self-steam, that leads to social isolation, reduced self-efficacy and finally affects their adaptation to the disease. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the relationship between demographic characteristics (individual and clinical) and adaptation (based on RO...

Relation between Water Balance and Climatic Variables Associated with the Geographical Distribution of Anurans

Amphibian species richness increases toward the equator, particularly in humid tropical forests. This relation between amphibian species richness and environmental water availability has been proposed to be a consequence of their high rates of evaporative water loss. In this way, traits that estimate water balance are expected to covary with climate and constrain a species' geographic distribut...

Land-Cover Phenologies and Their Relation to Climatic Variables in an Anthropogenically Impacted Mediterranean Coastal Area

Mediterranean coastal areas are experiencing rapid land cover change caused by human-induced land degradation and extreme climatic events. Vegetation index time series provide a useful way to monitor vegetation phenological variations. This study quantitatively describes Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) temporal changes for Mediterranean land-covers from the perspective of vegetation phenology a...

Stable fly population dynamics in eastern Nebraska in relation to climatic variables.

Stable flies, Stomoxys calcitrans (L.), are among the most economically important arthropod pests of livestock in North America. In this study, we monitored the seasonal dynamics of a stable fly population in eastern Nebraska for 5 yr. Models based upon temperature and precipitation were developed to determine the affects of these variables on population levels as well as to project population ...
